VermiPrime®: vermiculite for horticulture

Vermiculite is a mineral that, due to its unique properties, is primarily used as a dusting agent for seeds and mineral growing substrates. It retains moisture strongly, contributes to seed germination, and stimulates roots.

NESTAAN markets vermiculite under the name VermiPrime®.

VermiPrime® product features

  • VermiPrime is an inorganic, environmentally friendly product with low bulk density. It is pH neutral and has a high cation exchange capacity.
  • VermiPrime is exfoliated at high temperatures, making it sterile, free from germs, and perfect for horticulture.
  • In accordance with the executive regulation of the AB label (EU) 2021/1165, vermiculite can be used in organic farming, including in products bearing the AB label.

Uses of VermiPrime ®

VermiPrime ® is a product that lends itself well to many applications in the field of horticulture.

  • Bulbous plants such as daffodils, lilies, and amaryllis are better preserved in VermiPrime and reproduce optimally in it.
  • VermiPrime ® is used by potting soil manufacturers as an additive for potting soil, cuttings, and seedlings.

Nestaan holds RHP certification, a label that certifies that the vermiculite produced by NESTAAN is of high quality, safe, and clean.

Perlite

Perlite is an eco-friendly product made from perlite, a volcanic rock used in various industries for its lightness, thermal insulation properties, and ability to retain water.

Perlite is mixed with potting soil, but it is also suitable as a substrate for hydroponic and cultivation systems. In potting soil, it ensures a good balance between water and air and optimises soil structure.

Perlite is RHP certified and benefits from FIBL quality.

CoverPrime: buckwheat husks for horticulture


CoverPrime buckwheat husks are an innovative and natural horticultural mulching solution, specially developed for nurseries and the professional production of potted plants and trays. Unlike traditional mulches, CoverPrime achieves optimal efficiency with a layer of only 5 to 6 mm, while providing protection equivalent to mulches applied in much thicker layers.

The product is made from 100% organic buckwheat husks, a lightweight material with a loose structure, allowing for precise dosing both by hand and machine.

NESTAAN markets the buckwheat husks under the name CoverPrime.
